Rebecca Rubin is the new Historical character for American Girl. Over at AGP:Chicago, there is an extremely cool giant dollhouse scene set up for Rebecca to look like her home in New York City and the details are amazing. I was not able to see it in person, but Caroline (Dollduds) from AG Playthings forums took some breathtaking photographs that she is sharing with us!
Rebecca is a Russian immigrant Jewish girl growing up in New York City in 1914.
Rebecca likes to line up her Matryoshka dolls, or Russian nesting dolls, on her window sill.
Rebecca's father owns a shoe store. In Meet Rebecca, the story mentions how children play hopscotch outside on the sidewalk.
Inside Rebecca's house.
Notice how they took the Just Like You Nightstand and Lamp set, put a tablecloth over it and painted the lamp black and put on a new Tiffany-style lampshade!
Notice for how they re-painted Addy's table and chairs a lighter color.
They painted Kit's Night Table white! Looks nice in Rebecca's room.
They stained Chrissa's craft table, looks very vintage!
